- Posted by Peter Veith on September 16th, 2003
Hi,
after I have burned a CD I would like to compare the contents of it against
my sorce data byte by byte to ensure that the CD has been burned errorfree.
Which program does this best?
Many thanks in advance.

I see you've gotten a couple of responses, but I was wondering if
software supplied with CDRW doesn't automatically do a verification
such as a MD5 check. It strikes me as unusual that a (slow) byte by
byte comparison would be done or required when a (much faster) MD5
would be sufficient.
Just wondering.

CDcheck works wonders and is as small as it gets.

Or is the glass half as filled as it needs to be? Starting to wonder if there
is a pragmatist view of this at all...
Sorry, just lurking about, saw this and couldn't help myself. =P
