Mailwasher is an email previewer which allows you to view your email
right from the server. It has a bounce feature which allows you to
bounce an email back (this prog creates a bounce which looks real) to
the person who sent you the email. This bounce features works great
since it can fool spammers into thinking that your email address is
invalid. You can also delete your email from the server. Mailwasher
can't reply to emails, to reply to email you have to use an email
client. Mailwasher also supports more than one email account.
Mailwasher was originally released as freeware but the author made the
new versions shareware & the freeware versions were taken down by the
author. This is the original freeware version which is old but it
works great, I love this prog.
This prog does not connect to AOL email servers, the shareware version
does connect to AOL email server. I did use the new version of
Mailwasher which is shareware, but it disables the deleteing/bouncing
of email.
The old freeware version has no limitations so you can use it all you

almost all that Mailwasher can do. It does not have a bounce feature
however IMHO this is a, mostly, pointless feature generating glut
on an already taxed protocol.

Yes, I've been using it for months and think its great. It can identify
messages with attachments before they leave the server, it can let you
preview message and reply without even downloading them. Great proggie. . .
