- Multiboot
- Posted by Euthymenes on October 17th, 2005
Hello
My PC has 2 harddisks, one with Windows XP, other with Windows 2000.
Each one was generated in standalone, with system installed on C:
I use GAG for multiboot, which works very fine. Each system boots on "C:"
unit, and sees the other disk with another letter. It is exactly what I
wanted.
Now I want to install same thing on a remote PC.
But the choice of the operating system cannot be made remotely : it is made
during the boot, and during the boot, no possibility of remote access by LAN
or WEB
The multiboot of XP or W2K allows this choice remotely, by modification of
"boot.ini" file before rebooting the PC, but this multiboot does not allow 2
operating systems on C: This multiboot uses 2 different letters for the 2
operating systems. And I don't want this.
GAG doesn't have equivalent of boot.ini, or it is not visible by Windwos.
Any idea for remote choice of operating system in multiboot ?
Thanks for your replies.

You can set a default OS with GAG. If it boots the wrong OS, change the
default and reboot.

I'm searching how to change the default OS from a remote computer. If
possible ???
I want to change OS and reboot from a remote computer, without access to
local keyboard ...
