Phone Call Warning
Posted by NoSpam on March 6th, 2004

Hello All,

Does anyone know of a freeware solution for Internet users that use a single
phone line for dial up and phone use that will tell you that there is an
incoming call while you are on line?
I found BuzMe which is advertised as freeware but it's not.

Thanks
Brian

There are a few including Call Wave... unless they have
greatly improved you usually find out about the call as the
caller is hanging up...

[not freeware] For a few bucks (~$40 cdn) Catch-A-Call is a
small external module that connects to the incoming phone
line... not only does it ring for you (before the
5th/6th/7th... ring) when you pick up the phone it puts the
modem into a hold loop and if it is a short call, usually
under 20 seconds, it will reconnect the modem to the ISP and
your DL/web page continues on... I had a few customers who
used these and for the most part they were very satisfied...

I checked the Call Wave site, it's not freeware either.
