With the release of Opera 9.5 b2 are you now using it, or FF? Do you
still have gripes with Opera? If I could figure out how to put a damn
button on the 9.5 toolbar for Thunderbird, I might consider switching,
especially after trying FF 3.0

I'm still using Opera 9.27 I can't leave it...I am so used to it's great
functions. I'm waiting of 9.5 to come out of Beta as a regular update.

I just can't move over to FF completely. I use it when I have to. I just
can't stand messing with extensions to catch it up with Opera. The only
thing I've done to FF is apply the mouse-over "Title" bug fix to it. Opera
mail and news work great for my use...just too dang convenient.

You are talking about apples and oranges. An email reader vs. a browser.

Opera News looks stylish but lacks function. There are many better
newsreaders.

There's not much to be gained by merging a newsreader with a browser.

It is a Browser that includes a mail client and newsreader. They are not
power modules, but they do the job very well...well enough for what I do
and more....and a torrent downloader...and a bunch more out of the
box...no extensions needed.

I use it almost exclusively. It does everything I need...in a very
convenient all in one location. It's power features are limited as are the
filters, but I don't filter...I delete...much easier IMO. I download the
posts, read them and delete them. It has most of the normal functions and
well...it's just convenient.

I use Gravity when I want to do something more extravagant which is rare.
I mainly use it to house the months posts in their entirety in case I want
to go back and look at the big picture, or find a post of recent past. If
I want to find something in the archives, I use Google.
