Pop3 Mail Checker and Forwarder which supports SSL
Posted by Ben Wylie on January 24th, 2005

Does anyone know of a freeware program which works like PopCon (not to be
confused with PopCorn).

I'm looking for something which can download emails from multiple pop3
accounts and to forward them via smtp to particular email addresses.

If it has SSL functionality on the POP3 connection, that would be ideal.

Thanks,
Ben

I meant UNIX fetchmail, it does support SSL. Not sure how the SMTP
forwarding would work under Windows though. Check out www.cygwin.com

I noticed that Foxmail will do that - connect to a pop3 account via SSL,
then you can set up a filter with the "Filter Manager" and have it ridirect
or forward mail to any address you need.
