Top Tips from the Gurus!...Place your best of the best tips here!
Posted by Alpha on December 22nd, 2005

I thought i would start this thread as i see a desperate need for it. I
am new to SEO/marketing techniques and have been overwhelmed by the
mass of information available on the net to "learn how to optimise a
site". It is clear that for every good and helpfull tip out there there
are a thousand scams simply intrested in selling you what you can do
for yourself for free. Remember what it was like starting out
yourself?....wishing that those with experience would guide you in the
right direction and bypass the rubbish.

Like all things in life it takes time to learn any new subject but
we all know that it can be very helpfull if someone directs you to what
it took them years to discover....that secret technique script or tool
that just put you far ahead in abillitys and understanding.

So i invite the Gurus and semi gurus of this group to spill the
best of there years of knowledge in short crash course sentenses. (not
vague statements) .

Do not fear.....We all know knowledge is power and its not always wise
to share knowledge but lets grip reality and realise that the internet
is so vast and flexible an industry sharing your best gems does'nt
really have an impact on your own prospects unless you are totally
unimaginitive and unable to come up with fresh idears..

Hopefully this thread will turn into a goldmine of the "best of the
best info for SEO" and will serve both newbees and gurus.

A few basic guidlines for posting:

1. Try to make your tips aimed at total newbees with no prior knowledge
so this thread can be used as a future referal for all newbees to the
group.

2. Imagine you have just two minutes to equip a newbee with as much
advantage as possible.

3. No smart ass comments reminding newbees how little they know whilst
trying to make yourself look all knowledgable.

Your post is completely irrelevant to the topic of our newsgroup (did you
even look?). Please take it somewhere else. NOW!

You're best to try a newsgroup such as alt.html or similar.

My very first recommendation would be a SPELL CHECKER.

There would be no better judge of assholes in this newsgroup than you,
turkey - posting your abuse whilst cowering cravenly behind a pseudonym.
Suffice to say that I may well be an asshole, but *I* know it. *You* , on
the other hand, wouldn't know if someone was up you with an armful of
deckchairs. Coprolite.
