Is TurboTax 2006 installing adware/spyware with the "sdvpack.dll" at system startup?

Is Intuit back to their bad old ways?

When I installed TurboTax on WinXP, the StartupMonitor freeware said the
TurboTAx program registered "advpack.dll" to run at system startup.

What does advpack.dll do?
Is it an advertising adware or spyware package?

When you install TurboTax 2006, would you say YES or NO to the
StartupMonitor freeware warning:
"The program wextract_cleanup0 has registered the executable
rundll32.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\advpack.dll,DelNodeRunDLL32
"C:\DOCUME~1\user\LOCALS~1\Temp\IXP000.TMP\"
to run at system startup.
Do you wish to allow this change YES NO

Is this advpack an advertising package?

Appears to be a Microsoft product, and not adware or spyware.

I would answer "YES" to the question as it appears to be a cleanup of
the temporary install directory. After the next boot, when you can
verify the IXP000.TMP directory is gone, check your startup entries
again to see that the rundll32.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\advpack.dll,DelNodeRunDLL32 is no longer enabled.
If it isn't, you're good to go. If it is, disable it then.
