Hi!
I use 7-zip to store some text files that should be protected by
password. The problem is that when I open and update the files, 7-zip
asks me if I want to update the archive, but it deletes the password,
so they are no protected anymore. In order to have them protected I
have to create a new archive each time, I can not update the old.

WinRar doesn't have this problem, it works fine, but it is not free.

Does somebody know how to perform this task with a free program?
