these are the only 3 I use:

winamp,
for music files
sometimes video files too

media player classic,
for video files and audio CDs
I dont know why theres the noise when using winamp for audio CDs

windows media player,
for VCDs
MPC doesnt support some VCDs I burnt
which I dont know why as well

how about you?

"1by1" for music
"Cristal Player free" for video

My son sent me episodes of a TV series in .avi form. The quality of
each episode differed, and after watching an episode I would
experiment with the start of the next to see which player handled it
best.

Divx player www.divx.com
Juke www.wolosoft.com
Real Player
Crystal

I like Juke because if the picture width is off (overly wide bodies),
the screen can be stretched rather than adjusting the aspect via
mathmatical ratios. Primary purpose seems to be for music, and sound
is very good.

rdt - 11.10.2003 18:17 :

since you are using zoomplayer, I have a question please:

I installed ZoomPlayerPro 3.10.1 but can't play xyz.CDA tracks from CDs
:-( MediaPlayerClassic plays all these CDA tracks without any problem.

Somewhere I read that for zoomplayer I first have to install a
CDDAreader (CDDAreader.AX) which I downloaded and successfully installed via

regsvr32.exe "c:\program files\filters\newfilter.ax"

in my Windows XP SP1 system.

But, even after that installation I can't play xyz.CDA files.

Any experiences/hints?

I was wondering how you would install the the new version Media Player
Classic? Would you install the new version over the old? I can't seem
to find an uninstaller for the program. Or would you manually remove
the program and related registry keys?
