- Advice on Password Protecting/Encrypting folders to copy to DVD
- Posted by Ian R on August 30th, 2006
Hi
I have a folder containing approx 1.5GB of files and subfolders which I need
to send to a colleague.
The quickest way would be to burn it to a DVD but I'd like to password
protect and/or encrypt the contents should it get lost in the mail.
I have XP Pro he's running XP Home Edition.
Thanks for your time and any info.
Ian

Create a zip-file of the things and password protect that. For higher
security use PGP/GnuPG tpo encrypt. Then burn the encrypted zip-file
to disk.
