testing a new system here ....my first SATA drive setup...system is xp
home 3200xp cpu epox 8rda3 mobo 1 gig ram
chn 1 is 80gig and ch 2 is 200 gig s-ata drive......my usual initial
test for a new machine is around 8 hours using burnin test
pro........disks, memory, cpu, sound, video, etc all perfect score at
50% but after bumping it to 80% began to get the very occaisional read
verify error on the rpimary drive [usually 100% ok with IDE] ....the
drive test fine with dos based utility......just wondering if the
drives should be tested in windows with a utility designed
specifically for SATA???.......
