Completely remove Promise SATA driver

How do I completely remove the driver for the Promise UltraSATAII150 TX2Plus
board?
Using Win XP SP2.

The board/drive worked fine, but the Disaster Recovery CD for Dantz's
Retrospect hangs when trying to load the driver.

I tried uninstalling the board from Device Manager, but that didn't do it.

Thanks

Have you removed the board itself? It does install its own BIOS if
it finds drives attached. That may cause problems.

Yes, I first removed the board from Device Manager, shut down, removed the
board.

I think Device Manager simply the device from one registry setting. I
believe it leaves all the files around and leaves [a bunch] of other
registry entries.

O.K., sorry. Can't help you there, since Windows is kind of
a mystery to in some of its obscure ways. It seems just like
some things can be removed cleanly...
