Does WD3200KS take either STA and PATA?
Posted by Joe S on February 7th, 2007

ISTR a review which said that Western Digital's WD3200KS has sockets for
both SATA or PATA.

Is this correct?

The WD website seems to discuss WD3200KS as only a SATA drive.

To give a less terse reply than RS:

It's a SATA drive.

It has both a SATA *power* connector and the old 4 pin type used on PATA
drives. (Use one or the other, but never both.) WD calls it "FlexPower". The
only signal connection is SATA.

Address scrambled. Replace nkbob with bobkn.
