- External Hard Drive and Windows 98
- Posted by Harrison Honors on March 5th, 2004
I want to add an external hard drive (to use for backup) to a machine that is
running Windows 98. The machine has no modem so I am unable to download any
files to it from the internet. Have you any suggestions on what external hard
drive I could get that comes with the drivers on a CD?
Thanks in advance for your help.

I don't believe Win 98 supports USB or Firewire storage, so you do need
drivers. Just download them on another machine and copy to floppy.
