Firewire enclosure for 7200rpm HDD
Posted by Coridon Henshaw on July 28th, 2003

I'm looking for a decent Firewire enclosure for a 7200rpm IDE hard disk.
The enclosure needs to have dual 1394 ports so it can be daisy-chained. I
gather a 5.25" form factor box is a good idea for heat disipation.

Is the dirt cheap 5.25" ByteCC enclosure (ME-320F [1]) good enough for this
application or is it worth it to spend over double on Kingwin's 5.25"
aluminium enclosure[2]? What about the ADS Pyro API-800[3]? The build
quality looks to be somewhere inbetween the ME-320F and Kingwin's box.
