- HP Proliant ML 350 does not start with DVD writer
- Posted by xertrex on March 3rd, 2005
Hi,
We're using HP ML 350 server at our office. Recently, we've bought a
Sony DRU-710A DVD writer for the server. But, when we connect the drive
to the server, the server doesn't start. If we just plugin the DVD
writer power cord, it boots but the moment we also plugin the IDE data
cable, it does not start. We've even tried replacing the existing CD
ROM drive and using the same cable and IDE slot for the DVD writer.
Anyone got any idea why this is happenning? Or anything that we can do
about it?
warm regards
xertrex...
