- NTFS drive files pointing to random and wrong part of disc. Possible to recover?
- Posted by Peter on April 6th, 2004
I had a bunch of MP3's on a large hard disc (180GB) and after no
obvious problem that came to my attention I have just found that when
I play those favorites tracks some other, random, track is plays,
someplace part way through as well. It seems most of the track items I
play are referencing the wrong part of the hard disc and the wrong
track is playing.
The only think I can think that I did recently was run the MS Defrag
program.
Is there any chance I can recover the tracks on this disc? It consists
of only MP3 tracks.
