- Promise Ultra133 TX2 driver issues

The Ultra133 TX2 Driver 2.00.0.43 driver causes my sound to sputter and
crack on bootup. The 2.00.0.42 driver did not do this.
I'm running Windows XP SP2 with a Sound Blaster Audigy card (w/ latest
drivers). My system has a Pentium 4 2.4 GHz and 512 MB RAM.
Any idea what I might try to alleviate the problem and still use the newer
drivers? I've had to go back to 2.00.0.42 for now, so it's not a big deal,
but the newer driver allows my system to boot a lot faster. And besides, I'm
a geek and would really like to get the newer driver to work right
regardless.

One thing I had success with is moving sound (if in a slot) or
controller to another slot. I have had this type of problem when
two devices shared an interrupt. Moving a card may place
it on another interrupt, but do check whether it does.
