etc even if you have to buy a burner to do that.
Thats the whole point of SMART, to warn you that the drive is dying.
On the web site of the hard drive manufacturer.
You should be able to work out what the manufacturer
is from the drive model number which is often displayed
on the black bios screen at boot time. If it isnt, some
utes can display that, like the Hitachi Feature Tool.
