8x dvd burners are worthless to me.My stand alone dvd players wont play dvd
movies burned higher than 4X..........

I would think that Verbatim,maxcell and tdk would be good enough
media........but it didnt work although the discs did support 8X

You just need to get a real brand-name burner, not el-cheapo 70 dollars one.
