It'd be easier to help if you told us what error message you're getting!

Have you tried 'mount -t auto /dev/sda<n> /mnt/mo'?

What does 'fdisk -l /dev/sda<n>' say?

Sorry, that should be 'fdisk -l /dev/sda' (don't add the partition
number)

Well, when I noticed that the unpartitioned Zip cartridge required I use
/dev/sdb4, I assumed I had to experiment and find out which partition
number to use for the MO disk. That was my error.

Actually that zip-cartridge is partitioned! You can also turn
a zip into a superfloppy, but when you buy a new one it is
partitioned.
