You have copied the error message incorrectly, it dosen't
exist or you have posted it incomplete? Below is a link to
the MS knowledge base and the result of the search for a
solution for to the error you posted.
On that page, in the search provision line to the Right, type
exactly and in full the error message you're receiving -

The error should be within the Knowledge base, but isn't?
This link to MS KB, and the error code headers:
http://support.microsoft.com/ph/6527/
But it is not listed? (All at top of page)
By typing your exact error message in the KB site search
produces NO results, then try the search MSN option:
This is just one example of one "solution" on a brief search
out of the MS support link:
There seems there was indeed an KB article that solved this
issue? You may note that one user responds the article was
indeed helpful, but within thread another complains the thread
is dead? And this is that thread:
http://www.digitalport.co.uk/digital...ad.php?t=39062
This is the posted link:
http://v5.windowsupdate.microsoft.co...leid=11&ln=en/
And it is indeed a dead link, ...and indeed it seems that
MS has withdrawn it?
With a bit of rummaging found this Japanese *only* posting
of links to subject: One link actually displays the "Was this
article helpful etc" of the article, but the actual article itself has
gone -
another of the links actually contains the MS KB heading that the
article is "No longer available"(?) But no reason given? Nor if a
replacement due?
?M$??????????,??????E?,??????????,??????
http://v5.windowsupdate.microsoft.co...cleid=11&ln=en
??http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=836949#kb1
?http://www.microsoft.com/communities...xp=&sloc=en-us
Here is the MSN result:
http://search.msn.co.uk/results.aspx?q=0x8024001D
This is the google result:
http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en...e+Search&meta=
Which produced this as top of it's search results,
And this is a posting that seemingly has the solution?
http://www.hanselman.com/blog/Resett...x8024001D.aspx
The caution being that it remains a mystery why MS removed
the original KB article? (Did the solution cause further problems?)
So, back up data, create a restore point - before trying any solution
you find in any of the above threads!
