Freeview EPG update
Posted by GoochyB on October 31st, 2005

Following the freeview EPG update when a number of channels were renumbered
the numbers in the guide data have still not been updated.

I'm using an analogue capture card linked to an external freeview box.

I've seen other threads about BDS being slow to update the guide, and I've
reported it through the EPG error submission page, but I would have thought
that for something so significant BDS would have updated it by now.

I've even tried downloading the guide data for alternative transmitters in
my region, but all still show the old numbers. (And no Sky Three or ITV 4
either).

I'm in South Yorkshire (Emley Moor/Sheffield transmitters). Has anyone else
in my situation (external freeview box through analogue card, as I believe
that digital cards collect their EPG data directly anyway) got the same
problem, or had their guide updated successfully? If so what transmitter are
you on?

I had to reset the TV settings to get the new numbers...

Ah, DVB-T card here.

No guide data for these yes, but ITV4 has appeared today after a rescan, and
Sky Three is transmitting on the old Sky Travel channel (still with old
channel name and EPG data)
