- Problem with DVD playback
- Posted by Norman Kaye on February 19th, 2008
If I create a DVD from a TV programme recorded via Media Center I can watch
it on the PC throught Media Center or via Media Player but NOT in my stand
alone DVD player.
I get the message "unrecognised disc" or "not a valid disc".
Can anyone tell me why and is there anything I can do about it?
Thank you.
Norman

Hi Norman, You have probably made a Data DVD.
To check, use windows explorer to view files,
If it is, infact a Proper DVD, there will be a diectory called VIDEO_TS.
If it's a Data DVD it will be called i.e. Manual Recording_BBC
THREE_24_05_2007_19_51_45.dvr-ms.
