Confused, I've some problems myself with the channel listings, although not
the same as your issue. However, if you enter the Settings menu from the
main Media Centre window then navigate to TV > Guide > Edit Channels you will
be able to set the order of the channels manually.

With regards to the 'snow' I would advise checking the connections on your
Media Centre for a loose cable.
