Rollup 2 problems
Posted by Brian in Leeds on November 2nd, 2005

Can anyone help, i have now had the same problem on two pcs after installing
rollup 2 and don't know how to fix it. (win nova-t PCI 90002)

After installing rollup 2 and subsequent update when i rescan channls i get
the dvb-t radio channels but the guide filters out some of the channels i had
before. they appear in add/remove channels but selecting/deselecting them
has no effect on making them reappear. i think it is possibly connected to
the ones that have been reshuffled on freeview as many of the problem ones
appear twice in the list of channels on add/remove.

This basiucally means that channels like 5, E4+1 more 4 and a few others
that i have no problem receiving will not add to the channel list and even if
i tick them save and return to guide they still do not appear.

can anyone help, i can't believe i am the only MCE 2005 rollup 2 user this
has happened 2 if i have seen it on 2 different pc's exactly the same happen
(1x packard bell & 1x oem build)

Help!

Brian,

I had the same problem, go to settings and the restore channel defaults, I
then had to rescan. That resolved it for me.

ok i finally solved this myself, i had done what you said but that only
messed it up in a different way but the same result, what i had to do was,
restore, then reboot, set up the tv signal again, scan, then press delete all
for the third of the tv channels it found out of the ones it should have,
then reboot with no channels and run the set up again. this time it finally
caught it. i can't believe no one else has had this problem as i can't find
it anywhere on the web.

thanks mike
