Hmmmm. Let's take a look at the name of this group, shall we?
comp.unix.admin. Do YOU see the word "jobs" in the name? I
certainly don't, and I doubt anybody else does, either. There
are hundreds, if not thousands, of groups with the word "jobs"
in their names. What do you think that might mean? Here's a
clue for the clueless - they probably have something to do with
job announcements. If you don't see the word jobs in the group's
name, chances are it doesn't have anything to do with jobs or
job announcements.
Now it may be that English is not your native language - probably
not, since you're a recruiter. So, let's simplify:
(1) Group name is comp.unix.admin - the word jobs appears nowhere
in the name. comp.unix.admin is a _discussion_ group where folks
discuss unix admin issues.
(2) Hundreds/thousands - 'scuse me, I meant to say lots - of
newsgroups whose names DO have the word jobs in them. Those groups
usually have something to do with job postings and announcements.
Now, having reviewed the lesson, here's the question for you:
Where do you think you job posting would be more appropriate, in
a jobs group or in a group without jobs in its name? You have
2 minutes to answer .. your time starts now.
By posting here you've identified yourself as a clueless spammer
and have, just coincidentally, damaged your employer's
reputation, as well. I would certainly not use the services
of a company whose employees are so clueless.
