Can't playback burned DVD-Rs
Posted by Ben on February 17th, 2006

Just finished editing my sister's wedding video and burned it onto a
DVD-R disc.

It plays fine on a stand-alone DVD player. But I can't play it back on
my own computer... on the drive that I created it with! What's all
that about?!?

I can play commercial DVDs on my computer just not ones that I created
myself.

When I insert my burned DVD into the drive the drive light flashes
while it tries to recognise the media but then it just stays on. XP
can't see that there's anything inserted at all.

Any ideas/suggestions/comments would be greatly appreciated..

Cheers,
Ben

HP Pavillion
Windows XP SP2
Adobe Encore 1.5 to burn...

Won't play in either PowerDVD or Media Player...

Your burning software is probably burning it as a data disc, instead of
a video disc. Try a different burning program.
