THE ADVENTURES OF ERROL FLYNN (reviewed by Maurice Cobbs, overall
score 90/100):
"The result is that Errol Flynn the star is brought back down to earth
for examination, but without destroying the luster that makes him so
attractive. There's no need to prove that Flynn was a star -- and this
documentary doesn't try. What makes this feature so enjoyable is the
fact that it is so comfortable basking in the radiance of that star,
without being so dazzled as to overlook the more unfortunate aspects of
his nature."

THE ADVENTURES OF PETE AND PETE: SEASON ONE (reviewed by Mac McEntire,
overall score 89/100):
"This entire endeavor is the TV equivalent of low-budget independent
cinema, created without focus groups, product placement, or interference
from studio executives. Instead, it was made by a group of friends armed
with nothing but a camera and their dreams."

ANCIENT MYSTERIES: CAMELOT (reviewed by Mike Pinsky, overall
score 64/100):
"On second thought, let's not go to Camelot. It is a silly place."

THE BEST OF OBLIVIOU$ (reviewed by Eric Profancik, overall score
85/100):
"Watching these ordinary, everyday folk pull the con on other people is
more amusing knowing they haven't practiced the bits and aren't as
familiar with improv as Burns."

CLARISSA EXPLAINS IT ALL: SEASON ONE (reviewed by Aaron Bossig, overall
score 89/100):
"What could be better than a show about someone their own age who had
in-depth answers on how to deal with parents, teachers, and curbing that
urge to drive? And finally, it wasn't stupid. Mutant cake jokes aside,
Clarissa wasn't a show that asked a young viewer to turn off their
brains, as so many other kids' shows do."

DEF POETRY: SEASON TWO (reviewed by David Johnson, overall score
85/100):
"From the moment I spun this disc to the end of the last episode I was
impressed, entertained, and sometimes moved. And while I may not have
agreed with some of the viewpoints espoused, the skill and passion of
these poets were not lost on me."

ELLEN: THE COMPLETE SEASON TWO (reviewed by Diane Wild, overall
score 74/100):
"Like Jerry Seinfeld, DeGeneres is not a natural actor, but is
nevertheless appealing onscreen. Unlike Seinfeld, and unlike her current
talk show, she ended up in a starring vehicle that did not play to her
strengths -- and often played against them."

GAME OVER: THE COMPLETE COLLECTION (reviewed by Brett Cullum, overall
score 68/100):
"The problem is it never lived up to the potential of the concept. The
family was just humdrum, and the plots were never very lively. I loved
the voice actors, and thought the show looked like a million bucks, but
it had no momentum -- comedic or dramatic. If it were a video game, it
would feel like Tetris with no ceiling."

HEMINGWAY (reviewed by Mike Pinsky, overall score 45/100):
"Hemingway's style is far more complex than this movie suggests, his
experiences as a journalist prior to his breakthrough as a novelist
evolving into a spare and suggestive prose that mirrored the frustrated
inarticulateness of his characters."

JAMES DEAN: THE TV YEARS (reviewed by Brett Cullum, overall score
55/100):
"Basically, this is a disc that completists will clamor for, and casual
fans could leave behind. These are rarities in the James Dean
collection, but they aren't essential viewing for any reason other than
they are oddities."

MISTER ROGERS' NEIGHBORHOOD: ADVENTURES IN FRIENDSHIP AND A DAY AT THE
CIRCUS (reviewed by Mike Pinsky, overall score 93/100):
"Mister Rogers was for real. He never seemed patronizing; he never
talked down. He always seemed to look through the television and right
at you -- never like Big Brother, but only as a kind friend. Only Fred
Rogers could invite you to come back to his home and never seem creepy."

VH1 STORYTELLERS: NATALIE MERCHANT (reviewed by Joel Pearce, overall
score 82/100):
"This is a perfect way to experience a performance by Natalie Merchant.
She relishes the chance to talk personally about her music, and her low-
key, laid back style is well suited to the venue."

XENA: WARRIOR PRINCESS, SEASON SIX (reviewed by Adam Arseneau, overall
score 90/100):
"I always liked the emphasis on light-hearted buffoonery of Hercules
over the constant whining and atonement issues of Xena, but admittedly,
Herc's leather-clad female counterpart had some very compelling things
going for her. Incredibly hot women everywhere you looked, for example.
Plus, other stuff, I would assume."
