ELVIS: A 50TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION, GUN CRAZY: A WOMAN FROM NOWHERE,
HEATER, LIVE NUDE GIRLS, SUGAR COOKIES, TAI-PAN, 3-WAY, and WILLIAM
HUNG: HANGIN' WITH HUNG:
CRITICAL CONDITION (reviewed by Patrick Naugle, overall score 64/100):
"Although Critical Condition isn't a terrible movie, it's not a
particular good one, either. Once again, Pryor's manic energy and
persona feel as if they've been caged so the movie can color inside the
lines of the Hollywood system."

DECEPTION (reviewed by David Johnson, overall score 65/100):
"With a cast headlined by such bigwigs as Andie MacDowell, Liam Neeson,
and Viggo Mortensen (who in 1993 was not as familiar as he is now, post-Shards-of-
Narsil), hapless viewers may get roped into thinking this is a
noteworthy thriller."

ELVIS: A 50TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION (reviewed by Dan Mancini, overall
score 60/100):
"Elvis: A 50th Anniversary Celebration is a dud of a party whose guest
of honor is a no-show."

GUN CRAZY: A WOMAN FROM NOWHERE (reviewed by Dan Mancini, overall
score 70/100):
"Since the picture's plot is fundamentally derivative and there was no
chance Muroga would deliver the same visual panache as either Kurosawa
or Leone, the movie's true asset is the magical allure of a beautiful,
hard-as-nails woman who wears tight-fitting clothes, packs lots of heat,
and kicks male (and, in one instance, female) butt all over the place.
If you're into such stuff, the flick's not to be missed."

HEATER (reviewed by Adam Arseneau, overall score 57/100):
"There is too much going on for the film to be a true minimalist /
expressionist piece of cinema, and as such, once is forced to take off
the sentimental art-house gloves and examine Heater within the harsh
criteria of regular moviegoing. And when treated as a regular movie,
well...Heater kind of sucks."

LIVE NUDE GIRLS (reviewed by Patrick Bromley, overall score 75/100):
"If HBO's Sex and the City wasn't funny or clever or sexy or hip but
still had Kim Cattrall in it, it would be Live Nude Girls."
FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/livenudegirls.php
SUGAR COOKIES (reviewed by David Johnson, overall score 76/100):
"If you're a fan of naked ladies from the seventies rolling around with
hairy guys, hiding a relatively okay little revenge flick, then this
flick is for you."
FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/sugarcookies.php
TAI-PAN (reviewed by Dan Mancini, overall score 45/100):
"Tai-Pan represents an attempt to distill Clavell's sprawling tale (one
of his shorter books, it still runs to almost 800 pages) into a two-hour
movie. The result isn't just cheesy melodrama, it's cheesy melodrama in
rushed shorthand."
FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/taipan.php
3-WAY (reviewed by Patrick Bromley, overall score 73/100):
"Save for the allure of Ali Larter's backside, 3-Way has nothing new to
offer the world."
FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/3way.php
WILLIAM HUNG: HANGIN' WITH HUNG (reviewed by David Johnson, overall
score 75/100):
"Hey, I don't have a lick of musical taste or talent, but I know when
someone can carry a tune and when they sound like a gopher being
castrated."
