Today, DVD Verdict posted reviews of CHRONO CRUSADE: THE DEVIL TO PAY
(VOLUME 4), GRAVION ZWEI: EYE OF THE STORM (VOLUME 1), MEZZO: SHELL TWO,
OVERMAN KING GAINER: YAPAN'S EXODUS (VOLUME 1), SAMURAI CHAMPLOO (VOLUME
2), and WANDABA STYLE: IDOL INVASION (VOLUME 3):

CHRONO CRUSADE: THE DEVIL TO PAY (VOLUME 4) (reviewed by Mitchell
Hattaway, overall score 75/100):
"There's also an uncomfortable tonal shift in the middle episode; humor
has always been an element of this series, but 'Prayer' contains far too
much slapstick."

GRAVION ZWEI: EYE OF THE STORM (VOLUME 1) (reviewed by Brett Cullum,
overall score 82/100):
"It's a funny, fast moving show that ultimately goes nowhere in this
volume. Perhaps we will get a hint of plot in the next set -- but if
this one is any indication, all we can look forward to are uplifting pop
songs and uplifting bras, all inside a giant robot."

MEZZO: SHELL TWO (reviewed by Bryan Byun, overall score 85/100):
"Make no mistake, Mezzo: Shell Two is no walk in the park. It's more
like a high-speed chase through a carnival funhouse, with a hardcore
punk band featuring caterwauling overcaffeinated preteen girls providing
the soundtrack."

OVERMAN KING GAINER: YAPAN'S EXODUS (VOLUME 1) (reviewed by Brett
Cullum, overall score 95/100):
"I'd definitely recommend Overman King Gainer Exodus 1 as an example of
why I enjoy anime. It's a science fiction story that could never be told
with live action, and it's so artfully done you often forget you are
watching a cartoon."

SAMURAI CHAMPLOO (VOLUME 2) (reviewed by Joel Pearce, overall
score 88/100):
"It's like Takashi Miike making a Zatoichi movie, only animated and
injected with a hip-hop score."

FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/sa...amploovol2.php

WANDABA STYLE: IDOL INVASION (VOLUME 3) (reviewed by Brett Cullum,
overall score 92/100):
"I can't explain my fondness for this series, but it's cute, quirky, and
a lot of fun. Action anime fans are going to want to hurl, but Wandaba
Style has some great elements in it that make it a fun ride."
