check out the new batch of external devices. i've tried several pci cards
and several external, the external's are worth the extra money IMO. i just
recorded "Henry V" off of IFC channel (digital cable) with my "ADS Instant
DVD USB 2.0". movie was 2h20m, and i used 720x480, 4Mbps. quality is
excellent, perfect audio sync, and it all fit on one DVD-R. i use "TMPG DVD
Author" to convert (author) the MPEG2 files to DVD format (vob files) and
add chapter points and menus.
i just wish - 1) the capture program that came with it (Capture Wizard 3)
had scheduling, and/or 2) more capturing programs were available that
supported the new hardware.
