R&B Singer Barry White Dies at 58
Posted by M.B. on July 5th, 2003

Let the music play on
Just until I feel this misery is gone
Movin’, kickin’, groovin’, keep the music strong
Let it play on, let it play on, let it play on, please, let it play on,
let it play on

Unless he was a drone and he got a virii, then this is off topic here.

Besides being OT I dont understand why people feel compelled to post stuff
thats in print news or on TV. Seems redundant etc.

Yeah ?

And the thee is no such terminology as virii. It's "viruses" so please don't be
correcting the OP for simply remembering a GREAT singer.

Not only that, Dave, but the "sentence" in which "virii" was used required
the singular form of the word. So, neither "viruses" nor "virii" was
correct.

Guess it makes people feel smarter to use the word (even when it's not a
word). This is one of my minor annoyances reading this group, so I think
I'll start a new thread and post the info.

Thanx for the note. I zeroed in on the word and not the context.

For the true dumbassii of the world, the plural of "virus" is
"viruses", not "viri" or "virii". Virus has no plural equivalent in Latin,
and therefore the English convention for creating the plural applies. Stop
being so fancy (and wrong) and just add the "es".
