I don't think so. There are lots of bad programs out there, whose
programmers had the "grand" idea to replace some common library (ie dll)
file with their "improved" version, given as an extra to their
application; and a year or two later, the standard version of said dll
is revised by the *real* company (probably MS), and then the old version
is either overwritten by the "real" revised dll, so that the application
is botched, or the newer version is supposed to answer specific calls,
which the "adapted" version does not provide answers for. Both cases
will render the programs unusable which are designed to use such
libraries.
