Normally, I would say ..................
"kiss and make up" but then I remember many years ago my husband's
twins (boy & girl) had been fighting all day, when I finally had
enough and told the girl to put her face in the corner by the
fireplace and the boy in the corner on the opposite side of the room.
I told them they had to stay there until they were ready to "kiss and
make up". When their Dad came home he wanted to know if we wanted to
go swimming. I said no one was going anywhere until the twins "kissed
and made up". The boy said, "I'm willing if she is." She said (and I
can just hear Laura saying the same thing)............... "I'd rather
kiss the sooty old fireplace..................................."
Needless to say, we didn't go swimming that day.
