Are they saying that a fix or patch is currently being propagated via
live update?
Would be interesting to know if legacy products (that somehow haven't
been expired) like NAV 2002 will be on the receiving end of a fix or
patch. -?

One may never want Symantec's help :-) - but the older
versions do have this limitation, even if they still run.
