I am having porblem to run a application I installed on a Windows 2000 machine. When I try to run the application getting an error saying a perticular port is alrady is in use by another application. How do I check which application is using that perticular port. and how can I change the port. Please help

You know it would really help if you weren't so vague and keep stating "application" instead
of naming it. That information may be helpful.

However, I can suggest to you TCPView.exe http://www.sysinternals.com/ which will show you
what application is using what TCP or UDP port which is what I ASSUME you refere to when you
said "port".

In addition:
If you post to UseNet with your TRUE, not a munged, email address then you have invited the
swen Internet worm [aka; W32/Gibe-F] to visit you.

The Swen is news spelled backwards. The reason it is called this is because the Swen worm
harvests email addresses from UseNet News Groups. It has an engine that allows it to post
itself to UseNet News Groups and well as it has its own email engine. From the list of
email addresses that it has harvested, it will then email itself to those addresses.

I have a program that only looks for com2. I have an active com4 and would like to change that to com2. Is this possible?Thanks for any help you can give
