- Cannot copy a Domain User's Profile to Default User Profile
- Posted by SkiAz4Free on September 17th, 2003
Windows 2000 Professional SP4
Logged on to PC as a Domain User with full Administrative
rights and installed network printers and configured
Outlook Profiles. Logged off, then back on as Local
Administrator and cannot copy the configured user profile
to the Default User Profile. Error msg states that a file
(...\Cookies\Index.dat) cannot be copied with a user-
mapped section open. Even if I can get it passed this
file, it will hang on the next *.dat
Created a Local User with Admin rights, rebooted, and
logged on as above user. Now, copying to Default User
Profile is intermittently working. Sometimes I have to
reboot twice, sometimes it doesn't work at all.
