- deleting directories
- Posted by kotonk on October 6th, 2003
hi,
is it ok to delete the c:\winnt\$ntuninstall* directories
and the c:\winnt\i386 directory....or at least move them
to another drive to save space?
my server has been running w/o problems so i'm pretty sure
i don't need to uninstall any of the patches.
i'm running out of space on my c: drive and need to clear
things out.
thanks.

Yes, you can delete them.
At the same time I recommend that you review your
disk space issue. If you're running out of space because
of a few uninstall directories then you're probably heading
for trouble. Hard disks, in my opinion, should always
have 20-30% spare capacity. Buy & install a new disk
while you can - they are cheap!
