- DHCP Reservation loses DNS Registration
- Posted by Pjotr on February 25th, 2004
Networkprinters receive through a DHCP Reservation an ip adres and a hostname
The DHCPServer is configured for Auto update DNS (client request)
So now and then the DNS Server loses a registration from a printer, so its make the printer unavailable
Does someone know why this is happening and even better how to resolve this
I prefer DHCP reservations so i can manage all the printers centrally and easily
