- DHCP Server not Giving IP Addresses
- Posted by Michael D. McGill on July 3rd, 2003
I had a router doing DHCP on my network. I now want my Windows 2000 server
to do DHCP. I disable DHCP on the router and enable it on the server.
Clients are not getting IP addresses from the Windows 2000 server. The
following error is in the event viewer on the server under Event ID1051
The DHCP/BINL service has determined that it is not authorized to service
clients on this network for the Windows domain: domain_name.com.
Does anybody have any ideas how to resolve this?
Thanks in Advance,
Mike

In the DHCP admin tool, right-click your server and click authorize.
