disc cleanup
Posted by Dave Ross on November 24th, 2003

When I try to use "disc cleanup" I get the box which
indicates how much space I will save. The computer just
grinds away and the box remains there.

What do I do?

So how long are you waiting? Took 15 minutes on my D: drive (all data;
no OS, no programs). It is a s-l-o-w program.

lol..thats is true...and you finally are able to clean up maybe
a few MB's, don't expect clean up of GB's.
More efficient is to use your IE menu Tools>Internet Options and
Delete Temporary Internet Files.
Even better: IE menu Tools>Internet Options>Advanced>check:
Empty Temporary Internet Files folder when browser is closed

You could also just use Start -> Help and search on "EFS".
