- Domain and Workgroup Division
- Posted by Hanif on December 3rd, 2003
Hello everyone: I have divided our system of three Windows 2000 servers into two parts.
One part is on a domain with the necessary user accounts and everyone logs on to that domain when they start their machines.
The other part is on a workgroup. The machine on the workgroup, W, has an administrator account and an account for myself. When I go into the Network I see that W is part of the workgroup. However, when I try to access it, it does not let me log on. No matter when username/password combo I use.
Anyone have any experience in a situation like this?
Thanks a lot.
Aamir.
