- Formatting The C Drive In Windows 2000
- Posted by John on November 27th, 2003
How do you format the C drive, so it can be re-built
running Windows XP. I am under the impression that a
number of re-build disks are needed, but I do not know
where these can be located.

Boot your machine from your XP CD, then allow your disk
to be formatted when prompted.

"To format a disk" means to clear it, to delete everything from it.
