How do I play sound on multiple sound cards at the same time?
Posted by Satvic on August 25th, 2003

Hi all,

I have 2 sound cards .. SoundBlaster Live Value (32 bit), on board AC'97 ..
and now I got new Plantronics DSP-500 Multimedia headset for gaming ... it's
very annoying to keep switching between the headset and the sound in the
Audio Properties every time I want to play a game online or to listen to
music through the desktop speakers ..

is there a way to play sound through all sound cards at the same time?

Thanks.

S

Um, why? Lose the on-board crap and just use the sound CARD.

the problem is that I got a really nice USB headset. now I can either listen
music on my headphones or through the sound card (hooked up to a stereo). So
every time I want to listen music through the card or play a game, I have to
go make a switch in the audio properties. It'd be much easier if the sound
played through both .. so I don't have to switch.

USB headphones? Why bother? Simply plug in decent standard headphones into your stereo. Duh.
