How do I repair W2K Pro after SP3 is installed?

Do I have to remove SP3 to repair W2K Pro from the original install CD?

Thanks for any assistance.

Hi Mike,

Just a guess here after a few reinstalls, but I'm pretty sure your CD
will kill off the SP3 update all by itself. You'll also need to get the
security patches reinstalled before fooling around much on the net or
you'll get buried in the worms and things waiting in the corners for you
to happen through.

Depends on what you do. My experience is if you do an emergency repair
after booting the CD it does not remove SPs or hotfixes but also does
not fix everything. If you do an "in-place upgrade" (replace existing
OS) it does wipe out SPs, etc, and they need to be re-applied. Same for
IE updates. Apps and data remain intact.
