- how to restrict users
- Posted by Sonny on December 18th, 2003
I am running win 2000 and would like to restrict a user to
only be able to run microsoft word application and nothing
else. I don't even want it to be able to connect to the
internet. Is there an easy way to do this, one that a
beginner can do?

Depends if this is a stand alone machine or part of a domain or active
directory. If a stand alone, use POLEDIT to modify the user.dat for the
user with appropriate restrictions. If a domain, setup a user policy.
