Greetings,
Can anyone tell me how I can install the [upgrade version of Win2K Server]
in a system running Win2K Pro?
I also have a full version of NT4.0 Server.
Any help will be appreciated.
Installing NT 4.0 Server whacks Win2K Pro at the boot process.
I have an [upgrade version of Win2K Server] which seems to require NT4.0
Server to be installed in order to install Win2K Server.
The machine I want to install on is a reconditioned Dell Optiplex that runs
Win2K Pro.
I want to create separate partitions for dual boot purposes so the machine
can boot to Win2K Server {OR} Win2K Pro as desired.

If you want the two OSs to boot from the same primary drive then
you must make sure that the hidden files c:\ntldr and c:\ntdetect.com
come from the Win2000 CD.
A much nicer way of multibooting involves using some third-party
boot loader, e.g. XOSL (free!). It lets you install any number of
operating systems, and each of them resides in its own partition
and appears as drive C:.

I've learned some things:
#1 The computer has an SATA drive which I seem to have to disable (I may be
wrong).
#2 I {had} to install a "small" 2GB drive as IDE1
#3 The BIOS has an OS install mode which limits the Ram to 256MB
