- installing win 2000 server on a pc with XP allready installed

Can I install win 2000 server on a machine with XP
allready installed?
According to Microsoft guidelines, I would have to first
install 2000 server and then XP to allow multibooting.
However, since I allready have XP installed I prefer not
removing XP. Is this possible?

Make a copy of C:\ntdetect.com and C:\ntldr. Boot your Win2000 CD and
install on a separate partition. Restore ntdetect.com and ntldr. Also, see
this MS Knowledge Base article:
